For high-quality dining, head for Atmosphère, 123 place Balmat (tel 04.50.55.97.97), offering elaborate dishes in a cosy setting from €19, or La Calèche, 18 rue Paccard (tel 04.50.55.94.68) where you can try Savoyard specialities in folksy Alpine surroundings for €1726. There's an abundance of cheaper restaurants around town, including a number of pizzerias, such as Valentino on place Balmat. Other reasonable options include La Poêle, 79 av de l'Aiguille-du-Midi, which specializes in omelettes (€4.6012), and, a few doors along at 59, Le Boccalatte (plats at €11).
