Dinard's small airport, served by Ryanair flights from London Stansted, is 4km southeast of the town centre, off the D168 near Pleurtuit. TIV bus #56, timed to connect with the Ryanair flights, runs via Dinard proper to St-Malo's gare SNCF and Porte St-Vincent for a €3.50 flat fare. Many visitors simply come over for the day on one of the regular Émeraude Lines boats from St-Malo; tickets can be bought in Dinard at 27 av George-V, above the pleasure port. A couple of hundred metres west is the tourist office, in the centre at 2 bd Féart (EasterJune & Sept MonSat 9am12.15pm & 27pm; July & Aug daily 9.30am7.30pm; OctEaster MonSat 9am12.15pm & 26pm; tel 02.99.46.94.12, www.ville-dinard.fr).Dinard tends to be an expensive place to stay, but it does have a wide selection of hotels to choose from, many of which can be found at www.dinard-hotel-plus.com. Options include two Nice places near the pleasure port: the Hôtel-Restaurant Printania, 5 av George-V (tel 02.99.46.13.07, [email protected]; €4055; closed mid-Nov to mid-March), on a quiet street as it drops to the port, with a magnificent terrace restaurant looking towards St-Malo; and the Hôtel-Restaurant de la Vallée, 6 av George-V (tel 02.99.46.94.00, www.hoteldelavallee.com; €5570; closed mid-Nov to mid-Dec), which unfortunately faces the wrong way for views of St-Malo, and whose most basic rooms look straight onto a bare cliff. The best local campsite is the municipal Port Blanc, also near the plage du Port-Blanc on rue du Sergent-Boulanger (tel 02.99.46.10.74; closed OctMarch).
