Penn Ar Bed (tel 02.98.80.80.80,www.pennarbed.fr) sail to Ouessant and Molène all year, with up to five daily departures from Le Conquet (first sailing at 8am daily in July & Aug; €25 return, under-17s €15), and one or two daily from Brest, always including one at 8.30am, which is the only one that stops at Molène (€29 return, under-17s €17.40). They also run from Camaret to Ouessant at 8.45am on Wednesday from May until early July, and Monday to Saturday at 8.45am from early July until the end of August (€26 return, under-17s €15.60). Only on Wednesdays between early July and the start of September is it possible to sail from Camaret to Molène, at 8.45am (€22 return, under-17s €13.30).

Finist'Mer (www.finist-mer.fr) operate high-speed ferries to Ouessant in summer only. From Camaret, they offer a daily departure from mid-June until early July, and again from late August until mid-September, at 8.45am, while from early July until late August the boat leaves daily at 9.30am (tel 02.98.27.88.44; €26 return, under-17s €15.50). From Le Conquet, they offer three or four departures daily between June and September, with the first one being at 8.45am from early July until late August, and 9.30am otherwise (tel 02.98.89.16.61; €25 return, under-17s €14). Between early July and late August, they also sail to Ouessant from Lanildut, 25km northwest of Brest, as the first departure from Le Conquet calls in there at 9.15am (tel 08.00.50.03.88; €26 return, under-17s €15).

In addition, you can fly to Ouessant with Finist'Air (tel 02.98.84.64.87, www.finistair.fr). The fifteen-minute flights leave Brest's Guipavas airport daily at 8.30am and 4.45pm, with an adult one-way fare of €60.98, or €35.07 for under-13s. Groups of three or more adults go for €50.31 each.
