There's a tourist office in Venarey at place de Bingerbrûck (April–Sept Mon–Sat 9.30am–12.30pm & 2–7pm, Sun 10am–noon; Oct–March Mon–Sat 10am–noon & 3–6pm, Sun 10am–noon; tel 03.80.96.89.13), which can direct you to local accommodation. The most attractive local hotel is one kilometre away up in Alise-Ste-Reine, where the Hotel-Restaurant Alésia on rue du Miroir (tel 03.80.96.19.67; under €30) is a welcoming, family-run hotel with a simple restaurant. A little further up the street, L'Auberge du Cheval Blanc, rue du Miroir (tel 03.80.96.01.55) serves excellent regional cuisine, with menus from €15. Down in Venarey, the Hôtel-Restaurant de la Poste, av de la Gare (tel 03.80.96.03.11) is conveniently located near the train station, but not particularly appealing.
