Eating, drinking and entertainment
France > Côte d'Azur > Fréjus and St-Raphaël > Fréjus > Eating, drinking and entertainment

One of the best restaurants in the old town is the tiny Les Potiers, 135 rue des Potiers (tel 04.94.51.33.74), with menus of fresh seasonal ingredients from €29. The similarly priced restaurant at L'Aréna hotel is excellent for fish and seafood (closed Sat & Mon lunch in season, plus Sun evening out of season). Cheaper eats can be found on place Agricola, place de la Liberté and the main shopping streets. Cadet Rousselle, at the top of place Agricola (tel 04.94.53.36.92), is a crêperie that for once offers a decent-sized lunch – the €10.35 menu includes three crêpes. At Fréjus-Plage there's a string of eating options, with more upmarket plateau des fruits de mer outlets at Port-Fréjus. The Bar du Marché, on the place de la Liberté, is a good establishment for a bit of café lounging. The main market days are Wednesday and Saturday, plus Monday in summer. If you happen to be in town on July 14 and 15, you can take in a Spanish-style bullfight during the town's frenetic and jovial fêtes.
