For eating and drinking, there are terraced café-brasseries in place Massillon and, all around this corner of the old town, a good choice of crêperies, pizzerias and bistros serving plats du jour for around €12. On the edge of the new town, Les Jardins de Bacchus, 32 av Gambetta (tel 04.94.65.77.63; menus from €30.50; closed Sat lunch, Sun dinner, Mon), serves novel concoctions with panache, while a little way out of town, at 15 av du Toulon, La Crèche Provençale (tel 04.94.65.30.28; closed Sat lunch & Mon; menus from €27) is excellent value for sophisticated food.
