The private TV channel Canal Plus broadcasts big European concerts, while M6 has some late-night music programmes, as well as numerous video clips during the day, and Arte, the fifth channel (after 7pm), shows contemporary opera productions and documentaries on all types of music.Of the local radio stations, Radio Nova (101.5 MHz) plays the best cross-section of what's new, from house to hip-hop, and broadcasts updates on the latest and coolest club nights, or soirées. Radio France-Mahgreb (99.5 MHz) does raï; FIP (105.1 MHz) has plenty of jazz; Africa Numero 1 (107.5 MHz) has African music; Radio Latina (99.0 MHz) is the Latin American music station; Oui FM (102.3 MHz) is the all-day rock radio; and techno and house can be heard on the station Radio FG (98.2 MHz). The national station Europe 1 (104.7 MHz) has some imaginative music programming, and France-Musiques (91.7 MHz) carries classical, contemporary, jazz, opera and anything really big. Under strict language laws, forty percent of pop music played by any radio station has to be French, and there's a dire Parisian radio station playing nothing but French music, Chante France (90.9 MHz).
