The commercial art galleries are concentrated in the 8e , especially in and around avenue Matignon; in the Marais; on rue Quincampoix, near the Pompidou Centre; around the Bastille; and in St-Germain. A new crop of next-generation conceptual art galleries are located in rue Louise-Weiss in the 13e, just west of the new Bibliothèque Nationale de France-Mitterrand.There are literally hundreds of galleries, and for an idea of who is being exhibited where, look up details in Pariscope under "Expositions", or L'Officiel des Spectacles under "Galeries". Entry to commercial galleries is free to all.
