Tea
France > Paris > Shopping > Food > Tea

Mariage Frères 30 rue du Bourg-Tibourg, 4e. Hundreds of teas, neatly packed in tins, line the floor-to-ceiling shelves of this 100-year-old tea emporium. There's also a classy salon de thé (daily noon–7pm) on the ground floor, decorated in Neocolonial style with rattan chairs, and offering exquisite pastries as well as tea of course. The tiny museum upstairs has oddities such as the nineteenth-century tasses à moustaches, china teacups with a lip that the drinker could rest his moustache on and so avoid any unseemly wet bristles. M° Hôtel-de-Ville. Daily 10.30am–7.30pm.
